Jewish tour Lviv led by Lviv Holocaust Research Foundation that retraces the route from Lviv ghetto to Janowska hybrid (work / transit / death) camp, delapidated Prison #30 of Ukraine today. We visit two still hidden mass execution sites in former Occupied Poland. Both are close to Lviv city centre but not within reasonable walking distance therefore transport is provided. We also visit several locations where the Lviv pogroms were caught on camera in 1941. You will see original assembly points where Jewish men, women and children gathered before being transfered by open tram or truck to places of forced labour and in many cases, certain death.
We have prepared then and now photos that illustrate how close modern Lviv is to its horrific recent past. We ask questions about ignorance and denial. This is an emotionally taxing experience, so ready yourself. Much of Lviv is exactly the same today as in the 1940s. LVIV HOLOCAUST TOUR is guided externally by LHRF. Connections by taxi are included, as the main Holocaust sites are located a few miles outside Lviv.
